Orofino Pioneer Passes At Hospital
     
Orofino, July 6. - Mrs. Catherine Carr, 81, resident of the Orofino area since 1892, died here this afternoon at 4 at the Burns Hospital. Mrs. Carr had been ill for several months and moved to the hospital last week.
     
She was born in Harmon, W. Va., Nov. 17, 1865. In 1892 she moved to Idaho with her husband and settled on Ford's creek near Orofino. Her husband died in 1914.
     
Mrs. Carr is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Glazier, Seattle, two sons, Homer and Albert, both of Orofino; three sister, Mrs. Nettie Harmon, Mrs. Stella Cooper and Mrs. Carrie Cooper, all of West Virginia; four brother, J. W. Snyder, Lewiston; Henry Snyder, Orofino; Albert Snyder, Kamiah, and Blaine Snyder of West Virginia, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
     
The body is at the Shaw funeral home with arrangements pending.
